Job Summary
Market Development Manager responsible for developing and converting new business pipelines for designated markets; develop relationships with customers, translate validated needs into product and application requirements for technical/manufacturing teams; support global sales throughout the customer lifecycle; identify tradeshow opportunities and develop customer presentations; analyze market dynamics to inform go-to-market strategies; maintain market intelligence; collaborate with commercial and technical teams worldwide; develop marketing plans with product management to expand target markets; travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science
- 7+ years previous new business or market development experience
- Experience evaluating and assessing markets and driving, closing complex highly technical sales (pharma sector - specialty chemicals, reagents, API)
- Composites, coating, or protective markets highly desired
- History of success penetrating new accounts and building relationships to fill the pipeline
- Credible technical skills and ability to engage with and sell to a technical audience (engineers, R&D)
- Travel up to 25%
