Job Summary
Market Data Engineer responsible for managing and optimizing real-time market data systems, with a focus on RMDS/RTDS feeds, Linux infrastructure, and low-latency data distribution. You will integrate data from internal trading systems and third-party providers, implement monitoring, and collaborate with exchanges, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely market data delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with RMDS/RTDS Market Data Distribution Platforms (Reuters RMDS, RTDS; Refinitiv/LSEG)
- Linux (Red Hat) proficiency and scripting (Bash, Perl, Tcl)
- Networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP, troubleshooting)
- SQL/database background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; customer-focused
- Experience with real-time market data processing, normalization, and distribution
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Cloud background (nice to have)
- Knowledge of market data terminals such as EIKON or Bloomberg is a plus
- Experience with data ingestion, processing, and monitoring automation
- Excel proficiency with real-time data
- Experience with capacity planning and performance tuning
- Finance/market data domain knowledge is a plus
