Market Data Analyst

Job Summary
Market Data Analyst will combine external market data from sources like Nielsen and Euromonitor with internal data to generate actionable insights. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, tracking business performance, building dashboards and reports to track market share, category growth, and pricing, and translating data into clear insights for leadership and various departments. The role supports strategic initiatives such as new product development and market entry plans, and collaborates with Sales and Marketing to create data-driven presentations for customer meetings. Requires strong quantitative/analytical skills, proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools, and excellent communication/presentation abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in a market analysis, business intelligence, or category management role
- Experience working with complex data sources, preferably with market data such as Nielsen or IRI
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, modeling) and PowerPoint
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear summaries
- Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present data to internal and external audiences
- Preferred, but not required: Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), packaging, or manufacturing industries
- Preferred, but not required: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Preferred, but not required: Familiarity with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems
