Job Summary
Lead the creation and execution of Alpha Lion's Market & Consumer Insights function from the ground up. Own the insights engine, run primary research (interviews, surveys, review mining, support-log analysis, buyer persona tracking, NPS), build competitive intelligence systems, validate product concepts (TAM/SAM sizing, demand validation, positioning hypotheses, pricing research), diagnose drivers of churn and satisfaction, monitor macro trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for Product, Growth, Retention, and Leadership. Build scalable processes, standards, and a centralized repository to enable repeatable insight generation. Work directly with the CMO to shape product strategy, go-to-market plans, and capital allocation with high-impact, visible contributions across a remote-first, US- and LATAM-based team.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in consumer insights, market research, strategy, or product strategy
- Direct experience shaping product, positioning, or capital allocation decisions
- Background in consumer brands (CPG and/or DTC) preferred, especially health, wellness, or supplements
- Experience with competitive analysis tools and consumer research methods (interviews, surveys, review mining, social listening)
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- No degree required, demonstrated judgment matters more than credentials
