Job Summary
Market-facing compliance leadership role responsible for implementing and overseeing state and market regulatory requirements across cannabis/regulated industries. Serves as SME on state regulations, interfaces with regulatory agencies, supports licensing/submissions, and leads documentation, training, and process improvements to ensure ongoing compliance for the assigned market. Collaborates with regional partners to manage packaging/labeling compliance, conducts risk assessments, coordinates inspections and corrective actions, and drives continuous improvement in compliance programs with a focus on regulatory signage, inventory controls, recall management, and cross-functional coordination. Requires 5+ years in compliance/regulatory roles, strong ethics, travel up to 20%, background checks, valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate independently or within teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory function in a highly regulated industry (cannabis/pharmaceuticals/alcohol/tobacco)
- Experience supporting compliance in a retail/production environment
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Ability to work independently or in teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience establishing and communicating compliance procedures and policies
- Experience analyzing and/or reporting data to identify issues and drive improvements
