Job Summary
Operate the firm's UK market abuse framework by undertaking daily trade surveillance activities using automated tools and investigating alerts in a timely manner. Conduct in-depth investigations into potential market abuse instances, identify risks and discrepancies, and proactively escalate issues for secondary review. Accurately document findings, draft STOR forms for regulatory submission to bodies like the FCA, and maintain relevant desk-based policies and internal metrics. Assist with ad-hoc projects supporting technical enhancements and respond to regulatory enquiries as required.
Required Qualifications
- A working understanding of the Market Abuse framework and what those entail
- A good working knowledge of financial products with a particular focus on Equities
- Strong IT skills with a particular focus on Microsoft Word & Excel
- Knowledge in FCA regulatory requirements and best practices in compliance
- A degree in studies focused on finance, statistics, data analysis or related field
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and be adaptable
Desired Qualifications
- Python and/or SQL skills
- A strong background in data science or data analytics
