Marker

Marker position in the Rough Mill department. Reports to Department Supervisor. Runs a ripsaw to cut wood and determine salvageable material, marks salvageable wood with a crayon, stacks wood onto a roller bed, feeds wood pieces to the chop saw, and inputs sizes into the chop saw computer. Uses tools and equipment including roller bed, crayons, and tape measure. Requires basic tape measure skills, adherence to safety guidelines, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, willingness to learn new productivity methods, good interpersonal skills, and demonstrated planning, prioritizing, and time-management abilities. Education and experience requirements include a High School Diploma, GED, or 1 year of equivalent experience. The role may require a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends and is performed in a manufacturing and dusty environment, with physical demands such as lifting up to 20 pounds and varied visual requirements.
