Job Summary
Marker-Grader for GEOG 2P50 at Brock University. Responsibilities include marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams with written feedback that clearly identifies the basis of the grade (content-related and/or writing aspects such as spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall organization). May invigilate mid-terms/exams or enter grades into databases as requested by the course instructor. Positions are paid according to the employee’s qualification level (Masters-equivalent highest tier to undergraduate-equivalent tier) per the Collective Agreement; duties align with Article 22 and are subject to course enrolments and budgetary approval. Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in or have completed a postgraduate degree or have completed a Honours Degree in Human Geography or equivalent*
- Completion of 4 full credits in Human Geography with an overall average of 75% or higher in all Human Geography courses completed is required (or equivalent*)
- Completion of GEOG 2P50 (or equivalent*) with a final grade of 75% or higher
- Demonstration of excellent writing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet stipulated deadlines
- Demonstrated high level of independence, initiative and self-motivation
- Equivalency will be determined by the course instructor
