Job Summary
Mark Andy P Series Press Operator on a weekend shift responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality labels and packaging. Duties include loading substrates, configuring files, calibrating color profiles, monitoring color quality and registration, performing routine color calibration, conducting quality checks against specifications, troubleshooting defects and equipment issues, performing maintenance, and adhering to safety procedures. Requires experience with Mark Andy P Series or similar narrow web flexographic presses, knowledge of substrates used in pressure-sensitive labels and packaging, ability to read job tickets and schedules, familiarity with color management and RIP software, mechanical aptitude for minor adjustments, and capacity to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential to collaborate with production supervisors, prepress, and finishing teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating Mark Andy P Series or narrow web flexographic printing equipment
- Knowledge of substrates used in pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, or specialty packaging
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent color accuracy and print quality
- Ability to read and follow job tickets, work orders, and production schedules
- Familiarity with flexographic print systems systems, color management, and RIP software preferred
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment adjustments
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability
