Job Summary
Execute complex planning and design activities for multi-discipline maritime infrastructure projects, including container terminals, offshore wind farms, and coastal resiliency schemes. Independently develop calculations, drawings, and specifications while providing authoritative oversight of junior structural engineers to ensure quality and accuracy. Conduct rigorous interdisciplinary reviews and perform site visits to maintain project integrity. Contribute technical expertise to project scope development and design fee estimates for RFPs. Coordinate the marine team with in-house and subconsultant disciplines to ensure cohesive delivery. This role supports the NY Metro Ports & Marine team within AECOM's global infrastructure division.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field
- Eight (8) plus years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineering licensure in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Must be able to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science (with Structural Engineering concentration)
- Ten plus years experience as a Structural Engineer with a focused experience in ports, maritime and waterfront projects
- Experience with computer anaysis and design software such as SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, SAFE
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
