Job Summary
Deliver and teach maritime engineering courses (e.g., Marine Propulsion Systems, Engineering Management, Marine Engineering Operations) in line with STCW requirements, update discipline knowledge, design assessments and marking schemes, provide timely feedback to cadets, and conduct CoC oral/written exam preparation. Contribute to research-informed teaching, deliver maritime training as required by the Line Manager, and be prepared to travel and occasionally work outside standard hours. Collaborate with the Head of STCW Program, highlight curricula changes per maritime regulators, and support cadets through mock orals, tutorials, and exam practice while maintaining a robust timetable and academic calendar.
Required Qualifications
- STCW Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Engineer) Unlimited
- BSc level academic qualification in engineering
- Teaching qualification
- Experience of maritime education and/ or training
- Thorough knowledge of STCW code
- Knowledge of student-centred teaching and learning methodologies

- Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
