Job Summary
Oversee vessel loading and unloading operations and manage the handling of cargo at multiple marine terminals. Lead a team of longshoremen (up to ~20) with a focus on health and safety, environmental stewardship, and customer service quality. Plan and allocate lifting equipment and heavy machinery resources; coordinate work to meet timelines; enforce safe work practices and standards; drive continuous improvement in methods and equipment/labor utilization; ensure proactive communication with clients and stakeholders. Requires availability for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays and comfort working outdoors in varied weather; leadership and client-focused approach to operational excellence across a Canada-wide terminal network.
