Job Summary
Conduct electrical diagnostics, remove and repair engines, transoms, or outdrives, and overhaul fuel, electrical, and generator systems. Disassemble units to inspect parts for wear, rebuild cylinder blocks and outdrives, and install marine electronics. Complete repair work using the service scheduler within established timeframes while maintaining customer satisfaction. Maintain current certifications with manufacturers such as Mercury, Volvo, and Yamaha. Work Monday through Friday with overtime available in a family-oriented culture focused on award-winning customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Astute attention to detail
- Experience and certifications with manufacturers, like Mercury , Volvo, Yamaha, etc.
- Ability to thoroughly examine boats and effectively communicates the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the service advisor
- Perform diagnostics and repair of all types of marine engines and transmissions/drives/systems
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team environment
- Eager to engage in a growing, fast paced, and industry-leading company
- 2 years experience in repair or service facility or participation and completion of a high school/vocational auto shop program
- Minimum of High School degree or equivalent
- Driver's License
- Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- Monday-Friday + Weekends. (5 days per week)
- Monday-Friday in off-peak season
- Flexible Schedule
- Overtime available
