Job Summary
Shore-based Marine Tankerman in Garyville, LA responsible for safely and efficiently transferring barges per MPC procedures and USCG regulations. Conduct barge transfers, troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on barges (including heater operation on hot oil barges), maintain transfer records, and assist in training new Tankermen. Interface with customers and participate in safety and training activities. Must be able to work in all weather, in remote locations, and travel within a regional radius (up to ~200 miles) using own transportation. Requires USCG MMC with Tankerman-PIC (Barge) endorsement, DL qualification, a valid USCG medical certificate, and TWIC; pre-employment drug test and background check. - USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with Tankerman-PIC (Barge) endorsement
- DL (dangerous liquid) qualification
- USCG medical certificate

- Pre-employment drug test and background check
