Marine Service Technician

Job Summary
Perform hydraulic maintenance and repairs on shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears and RoRo equipment; handle advanced equipment repairs and breakdown analysis; document work schedules and completed tasks; manage related documentation (service reports, time sheets, travel expenses); ensure compliance with MacGregor standards and safety rules; report to the Operations Superintendent, Americas and North Sea; position based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; travel to client sites, vessels or shipyards worldwide as needed; ideal candidate has hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, ships’ equipment, and thrives in a collaborative, multicultural environment; strong problem-solving, decision-making under pressure, and effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and equipment repairs
- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time
- Fluent in written and spoken English
