Job Summary
Lead marine operations and ensure safe, compliant vessel performance by serving as a key link between ship and shore. Provide operational and navigational support, manage audits and inspections, and drive continuous improvement to uphold international standards. Oversee voyage orders, port limitations, navigation risks, and security threats; manage relationships with owners and charterers; ensure statutory certifications and compliance; act as Company Security Officer, support vetting, and train sea staff during ship visits. Demonstrates knowledge of quality, environmental, and safety standards, with strong interpersonal and client-management skills; experienced with bulk vessels and ice-class operations.
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or equivalent; Master Mariner or Chief Officer qualification
- Minimum 3 years sailing experience as Master/Senior Officer, or at least 6 years as Marine Superintendent in a ship management or owning company
- Experience with Bulk vessels and Ice class is essential
