Job Summary
Coordinate all aspects of sea staff employment, including recruitment, appointments, and departures, while ensuring vessels remain manned according to Safe Manning, STCW, and Flag Certification requirements. Act as the primary contact for personnel queries, manage MLC Employment Agreements, and arrange cost-effective travel and visas. Process payrolls, maintain accurate crew lists, and input data into the crewing system for payroll and record maintenance. Liaise with clients, technical managers, and overseas agents to manage relief intentions and attend ship visits. Monitor employee documentation for compliance, prepare performance appraisal reports, and provide feedback for Marine HR Manual improvements. Maintain out-of-hours call availability for seafarer welfare emergencies and support the Marine HR Manager with budget reviews and P&I claims.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Recruiting and Managing Crew Personnel in Shipping industry
- Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry
- It is a requirement of a Marine Personnel Officer that he / she be on out of hours call to deal with any emergency issues which may arise involving seafarers' welfare
