Marine Operations Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate vessel schedules across multiple ports, manage logistics operations, and provide customer-focused service to vessel crews, customers, and trade partners. Responsibilities include monitoring proprietary logistics software to track vessel movements and cargo details, communicating with vessel agents about schedules and vessel particulars, coordinating loadings and deliveries with cargo terminals and trade partners to optimize throughput, scheduling vessel maintenance and inspections with Operations and Engineering teams, inputting and tracking cargo and bunker nominations, finalizing orders and verifying billing, maintaining strong communication with customers via phone and email, building long-term client relationships, providing real-time operational support to vessel crews and relaying emergency or incident reports, supporting chartering activities, and contributing to continuous improvement in Logistics. The schedule consists of four 10-hour days per week with remote weekend shifts, and a willingness to work overtime and on weekends/holidays on a rotational basis.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred—with a maritime focus strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of logistics experience, ideally within the maritime industry
- Operational experience in maritime settings is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and strong computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to handle multiple moving components under pressure
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work overtime and be flexible with working weekends and holidays on a rotational basis
