Job Summary
Maintain towboat fleet machinery and equipment by performing inspections, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to main propulsion and auxiliary systems. Track and document all maintenance activities, manage critical spare parts inventory, and assist outside vendors or mainline vessel repairs as needed. Adhere strictly to ACBL safety policies, USCG regulations, and the Safety Management System while keeping PIC/MMC credentials current. Maintain an inventory of spare parts and materials that are critical for repairs and re-order parts as needed. Perform all other job duties as assigned, including on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks of call.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet ACBL physical examination requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess and maintain an active TWIC
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- 5 + years mechanical maintenance experience and repairs of associated equipment
- Must be able to be on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks of call
