Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair main propulsion and auxiliary machinery on towboat fleet vessels along the Mississippi River. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation for engine and generator systems while adhering to ACBL safety, environmental, and USCG regulations. Manage spare parts inventory, track maintenance logs, and coordinate with outside vendors or support vessels as needed. Maintain current PIC/MMC credentials and fuel transfer records. Requires on-call availability for weekends and nights during assigned weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet ACBL physical examination requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess and maintain an active TWIC
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- 5 + years mechanical maintenance experience and repairs of associated equipment
- Must live within reasonable driving distance of assigned location
- Must be able to be on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks of call

- Prior towboat troubleshooting and repair experience
