Job Summary
Marine Mechanic position supporting contracted skilled trades work on Elevator Support Unit (ESU) for U.S. Navy ships. Responsibilities include installations and alterations to Weapon Elevators, Aircraft Elevators, and associated systems on Navy vessels; perform skilled trades, maintenance, and technical tasks on aircraft carrier elevators and related equipment; develop and use technical documents, work packages, and procedures; interface with customers and subcontractors; provide work direction and brief customers and senior management; travel may be required within and outside the continental United States; location Bremerton, WA.
Required Qualifications
- High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 4 years of related experience.
- Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
- Must have experience performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and testing of hydraulic systems.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain base access credentials (DBIDS).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Confidential Security Clearance and must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be proficient at reading US Navy schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
