Job Summary
Parsons seeks a Marine/Land Surveyor to plan and execute topographic, hydrographic, and geodetic surveys for coastal, offshore, and onshore projects. You will set out, observe, and record survey data using GNSS receivers, total stations, levels, and hydrographic survey equipment; establish control networks; process and validate data; produce survey drawings, charts, plans, and DTMs in CAD/GIS; prepare survey reports and metadata; support engineering and construction teams with as-built surveys; coordinate with project teams to schedule activities; assist with quantity calculations and progress measurements; and ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory guidelines. Required skills include a degree or diploma in Surveying/Geomatics/Civil Engineering, 8 years of land surveying experience, proficiency with survey and CAD software, outdoor-work capability, and HSE knowledge. Desired skills include hydrographic/coastal/offshore surveying, advanced data processing software, GIS workflows, ability to interpret drawings, and client-facing experience. The role emphasizes maintaining equipment, quality control, and collaboration across project teams while contributing to safe and efficient survey operations.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or closely related field
- 8 years of experience in land surveying, with exposure to marine or coastal surveys
- Ability to perform topographic, control, and construction surveys, and to carry out basic calculations such as levels, distances, and coordinates
- Working knowledge of survey and CAD software
- Willingness and ability to work in outdoor environments
- Understanding of basic HSE principles and commitment to safe working practices
