Job Summary
Marine Field Service Technician role focusing on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of MTU marine diesel engines across various marine applications. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on MTU engines, conduct sea trials, verify engine performance, maintain service records, and provide guidance/training to apprentice marine technicians. Travel within the assigned region with potential international assignments. Requires 5+ years of high-speed marine engine repair experience with MTU, knowledge of MTU MCS/RCS electronics and Diasys software, and the ability to diagnose mechanical issues from service manuals. Strong teamwork mindset and hands-on mechanical aptitude are essential. The role offers a sign-on bonus, field travel up to 75%, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in high speed marine engine repair
- MTU engine experience
- Experience with MTU MCS/RCS electronics and Diasys software (preferred)
- MDEC or ADEC or DDEC experience (preferred)
- ECU7, ECU8, ECU9 Software experience (preferred)
- Strong laptop/PC skills for diagnostics and software applications
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and read service manuals
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Own set of mechanic tools
- TWIC card or ability to obtain
- Ability to complete manufacturer training
- Travel & Mobility: Frequent travel within an assigned territory (AOR)
