Job Summary
Install, repair, and hook-up of electrical services on a ship; troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less) per specifications and drawings; demonstrate knowledge of electrical theory and safety procedures; perform Lock-out Tag-out and complete basic electrical shipbuilding tests (written and hands-on hookup) as part of evaluation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be familiar with all safety procedures pertaining to electrical work
- Ability to implement Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) for work
- Experience with installation, repair, and hook-up of shipboard electrical equipment
- Knowledge of electrical theory and procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less)
- Completion of basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on electrical hookup (as part of evaluation)
