Job Summary
Marine Electricians needed for a shipyard project in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities include installation, repair, and hook-up of electrical services on ships, running cables and harnessing cabling aboard vessels, testing circuits and diagnosing faults, inspecting mechanical/electrical components, and following safety procedures including Lock-out Tag-out. Requires fiber optic experience and knowledge of electrical theory and shipboard systems (600 V and less). Per diem available and pay up to $25/hour with per diem for eligible candidates; position located in a shipyard setting in San Diego, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Fiber Optic Experience required
- experience with electrical theory and procedures
- ability to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less)
- running cables, lines and leads, terminations/connector fabrication
- packaging of cable transits and harnessing cables aboard vessels
- testing and inspection of electrical equipment
- knowledge of safety procedures and Lock-out Tag-out
