Job Summary
Install, repair, and hook-up of electrical equipment for shipboard electrical services on a ship. Must apply knowledge of electrical theory and procedures to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less) in accordance with specifications and drawings. Adhere to safety procedures, implement Lock-out Tag-out for work performed, and be prepared for a basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on hook-up as part of qualification. Required Qualifications
- Experience with installation, repair, and hook-up of electrical equipment for shipboard electrical services (600 V and less)
- Knowledge of electrical theory and ability to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems per specifications/drawings
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to electrical work
- Ability to implement Lock-out Tag-out procedures
- Willingness to perform basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on electrical hook up
