Job Summary
Marine Electricians needed for a long-term position at a shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. Responsibilities include installation, repair, and hook-up of shipboard electrical services, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less) in accordance with specifications and drawings. Must demonstrate knowledge of electrical theory, safety procedures, and the ability to implement Lock-out Tag-out. Includes a basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on hook-up assessment. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with installation, repair, and hook-up of electrical equipment on ships
- Comfort with electrical theory and shipboard electrical systems (600 V and less)
- Familiarity with safety procedures and ability to apply Lock-out Tag-out
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and repair per specifications/drawings
- Willingness to undergo electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on hook-up assessment
