Job Summary
Install, repair, and hook-up electrical equipment for shipboard services on a shipyard project. Must have knowledge of electrical theory and shipboard procedures, and be able to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less) according to specifications and drawings. Adherence to safety procedures and implementation of Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) are required. Includes basic electrical shipbuilding written and hands-on testing.
Required Qualifications
- Familiar with safety procedures pertaining to electrical work
- Ability to implement Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO)
- Experience with shipboard electrical systems (600 V and less)
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical equipment and systems
- Willing to complete basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on hookup tests
