Job Summary
Install, repair, and hook-up of electrical equipment for shipboard electrical systems (600 V and less) on ships at a Pascagoula shipyard. Must have knowledge of electrical theory, troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment, and follow safety procedures including Lock-out Tag-out. Includes expected evaluation via basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on electrical hook-up.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with installation, repair, and hook-up of shipboard electrical equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less)
- Knowledge of electrical theory and procedures
- Familiarity with safety procedures and Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO)
- Ability to pass basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on electrical hook-up
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings
