Job Summary
Install, repair, and hook-up of electrical services on ships; run cables, install and test electrical circuits and equipment (600 V and less); inspect and troubleshoot shipboard electrical systems, including telephones circuits and lighting, test and report results, and ensure safety procedures including Lock-out Tag-out. Knowledge of cable routing, terminations, and harnessing aboard vessels, plus attention to mechanical inspections and alignment of electrical components; work in a shipyard environment in Bremerton, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of electrical theory and procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less)
- Experience with installation, repair, and hook-up of electrical services on a ship
- Familiar with safety procedures and manual procedures
- Implement Lock-out Tag-out for work being performed
