Job Summary
Marine Electrical Subject Matter Expert for the Surface Enhance Capability Program (SECAP) to support maintenance onboard U.S. Naval Vessels; responsible for troubleshooting and repairs on HM&E systems including Main Drainage, AFFF, CMWD, Fire-main, and auxiliary equipment such as HP/LP Air, Trash room, Hydraulic, AC&R, and Deck equipment; performs maintenance, installation upgrades/removals, diagnostics, and customer communications; requires ability to read shipboard drawings, obtain DoD security clearance, and travel 11-25% in a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role.
Required Qualifications
- High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 8 years of related experience, to include specific systems expertise
- Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty
- Must have experience as a shipboard marine electrician
- Must be able to read and interpret shipboard drawing and schematics
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a confidential DOD security clearence
- Start date contingent upon approval of base access, which is required for this position and continued employment
