Job Summary
Instruct assigned students in Marine/Boat Technology classes during designated times while developing a conducive learning environment. Prepare for each session, document evidence of preparation, and evaluate student progress on a continuing basis. Assist students in setting behavioral standards, enforce school rules, and maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy. Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities, and meet with students for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when requested. Work Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Operations, Technology and Digital Learning.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate
- Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other staff and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls
- Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment such as, but not limited to, a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine
- Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions
Desired Qualifications
- experience in working in Marine/Boat Technology field is preferred
