Job Summary
Welcome and assist incoming and departing vessels, helping captains safely dock and undock boats in challenging wind and current conditions. Connect water and electrical services to boats, monitor dock lines, and fuel vessels safely while processing retail transactions. Maintain docks, equipment, grounds, and work areas, performing regular wash-downs to prevent fuel buildup and assist with general maintenance projects and repairs. Support hurricane and storm preparation efforts as assigned, and know procedures for radio use, fire, first aid, freeze protection, and oil-spill response. Assist with retail inventories, live-bait keeping, and tournament events. Keep supervisors informed when supplies are running low and perform other duties as assigned by the Marina Supervisor or Marina Director.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to swim
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Ability to remain active/standing for extended periods
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Previous marina or dockhand experience
- Customer service, boating, or fuel-handling experience
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working outdoors and interacting with guests
