Job Summary
The Marina Attendant is responsible for greeting patrons, providing accurate information about the Marina, handling cash register transactions, and assisting with rentals. Duties include maintaining the neatness of the facility and equipment, instructing patrons on safety and operation of rental equipment, and providing fueling and docking assistance. Candidates should have a professional appearance, strong communication skills, and be capable of interpreting local weather reports.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older
- Must be able to swim
- Must pass Virginia Boating Safety Course within 30 days of hire
- Must be able to work outdoors in unshaded areas for extended periods of time
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs
- Must have the ability to work weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of water sports equipment rentals
- Knowledge of Jet Ski operation
- Knowledge of basic boat handling and seamanship skills
- Cash handling and basic computer knowledge
