Job Summary
Welcome and assist incoming and departing vessels, connecting water and electrical services while monitoring dock lines and utilities during changing weather conditions. Fuel vessels safely, assist with supplies and battery charging, and process retail transactions. Maintain docks, equipment, grounds, and work areas to ensure they remain clean, safe, and aesthetically excellent. Support hurricane and storm preparation efforts as assigned, and assist with general marina maintenance projects and repairs. Know and follow procedures for radio use, fire, first aid, freeze protection, and oil-spill response. Assist with retail inventories, live-bait keeping, and tournament events. Perform regular wash-downs on the fuel pier to prevent buildup and keep areas free of trash. Keep supervisors informed when supplies are running low. Perform other duties as assigned by the Marina Supervisor or Marina Director.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to swim
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Ability to remain active/standing for extended periods
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Previous marina or dockhand experience
- Customer service, boating, or fuel-handling experience
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working outdoors and interacting with guests
