Job Summary
Operate the shuttle bus to transport passengers between employment buildings and the garage or train station during an overnight temporary shift. Report maintenance issues immediately, ensure vehicle safety, and assist with passenger evacuation or accident reporting per company policy. Maintain assigned routes on time, keep the interior clean, and prepare the vehicle for inclement weather including applying tire chains. Complete all required paperwork, including route change sheets and time cards, and practice defensive driving to avoid accidents. This overnight role is located in New York, NY and requires a valid state license, age 21 or older, and successful completion of training.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, all valid applicable state license and other required certifications to operate company vehicles
- Must meet physical and medical requirements
- Must pass substance abuse screening
- Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training
- Must attend safety meetings and in-service meetings
- Extensive knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must practice defensive driving at all times
- Compliance with all applicable company, federal, state, county, district, and contract specific Driver requirements
