Mapping City/Country Expert

Mapping City/Country Expert will support transit data initiatives by providing city- and country-specific mapping expertise. Responsibilities include creating city-level transit data policies based on local regulations, identifying data gaps, improving transit data models with local knowledge, validating and editing transit data, resolving complex mapping issues, and maintaining city data pipelines using internal platforms and basic programming skills. The role also involves creating country-specific guideline documents for operations teams, serving as a local-expertise point of contact for mapping questions, conducting field research to verify information, supporting outage and alert management for assigned cities, performing quality audits, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure correct political and regional formats are applied. Strong communication in English and the local language, GIS familiarity, and programming knowledge (Python, Java, C#, or C++) are required, along with a solid understanding of local transit systems and traffic laws.
