Job Summary
Assemble and install sub-assembly components on commercial HVAC units using hand and power tools, while reading blueprints and diagrams to verify parts. Perform visual and functional quality checks on assemblies and move materials to designated areas following proper handling methods. Maintain a clean work area and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly. Wear required personal protective equipment and adhere to all health and safety regulations throughout the shift. This entry-level role supports team-based production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, requiring physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and work with moving machinery. The position is part of BASX's manufacturing operations, where precision and reliability are critical for delivering engineered solutions for critical environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency
- Visual acuity to inspect parts and read instructions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding and safety-sensitive environment
- Ability to remain focused and alert while handling tools and materials
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position
- Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures is mandatory
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times
- Must be available for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts from 6am to 6pm
- Must be available for Monday shifts from 6am to 6pm
