Job Summary
Maintain and improve the welding and sealing network while serving as group leader for Div 1 hourly employees validating performance. Monitor joining metrics, ensure adherence to PCP requirements, and support floor operations, process improvements, and project work. Lead problem investigations using PPS, write work instructions, and manage model year changes for build-out and startup. Manage hourly EE metrics including Kronos, VAC, and OT, while maintaining relationships with UAW and support personnel. Report issues and corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Assist in preparing weld quality reports for plant leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience within manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in welding within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional group; leading the group as needed
- Ability to multi-task on multiple critical issues at the same time
- Ability to work effectively under a high amount of stress
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- This role is categorized as onsite
- The selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis
- The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing automation: robotic welding and dispense operations
- Experience with Fanuc robots
- Bachelor's Degree in Weld Engineering
- Previous welding experience in a Manufacturing facility
