Job Summary
Perform final electrical and mechanical checks to ensure machinery meets specifications. Analyze part control, machine functions, and system operations while providing technical feedback on upgrades. Test customer product samples for compatibility and conduct quality control inspections before shipment. Install, service, and support machinery at domestic and international customer sites, including factory acceptance testing and final delivery. Requires 3+ years of experience in machine building and debugging, proficiency in reading electrical schematics and 3D drawings, and hands-on skills with basic machine shop equipment. Based at the South Elgin, IL facility with some work at Belvidere, IL.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in machine building, testing, debugging, or service of automated machinery
- Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC fundamentals) and the ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Proficient in interpreting detailed 3D mechanical drawings
- Hands-on experience with basic machine shop equipment (drill press, mill, grinder)
- Familiarity with PLCs (ability to read ladder logic and perform basic editing is a plus)
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges)
- Must be able to travel up to 25%
- Must be able to work primarily at the South Elgin, IL facility, with some work at the Belvidere, IL location
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with PLCs (ability to read ladder logic and perform basic editing is a plus)
