Job Summary
Hands-on Manufacturing/Test Support Technician to join the NPI&I team in Mount Pearl, NL. You’ll support the introduction and refinement of defence-grade electro-mechanical assemblies, optimize designs for manufacturability with engineers, develop and maintain process documentation, troubleshoot production issues, support pilot builds and LRIP, coordinate with Quality and Engineering for compliance, and train production personnel on updated procedures and tooling. Requires an Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technician diploma (or related field) and 2+ years in regulated manufacturing, with hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly, CAD/schematics/BOMs, and familiarity with ERP/MES systems.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technician diploma or related field
- 2+ years in highly regulated manufacturing environments such as defence, aerospace, or high-reliability sectors
- 2+ years hands-on experience in assembly of electro-mechanical products and PCBs
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical assembly practices, technical drawings, schematics and industry standards
- Familiarity with basic design modification workflows (redlines) and ability to work from CAD models, schematics, and BOMs
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to process improvements
- Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with ERP, MES, and digital documentation systems
