Job Summary
Manage a staff of test engineers and technicians to support the development of production test systems for Echodyne's compact solid-state true beam-steering radar. Work closely with design, systems, and software teams to define sub-system and system-level test coverage that ensures product quality and production efficiency. Design, develop, and release new manufacturing test processes and test systems, including software, hardware modules, and data infrastructure. Generate DFT guidelines to inform new radar designs and manage PCBA and sub-assembly testing at supplier locations. Proactively initiate and lead corrective action and continuous improvement projects associated with manufacturing test processes.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in PCBA and PCB fabrication processes for RF/High speed digital boards, including tolerances, use of micro-vias, and DFM appropriate design methodologies
- Experience working with and managing contract manufacturers in the testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies
- Proficiency/Experience with statistical data analysis techniques to characterize test processes and drive improvement projects
- Ability to learn and adapt to advanced RF microwave technology
- Experience with Radar and RF microwave measurement instruments
- Demonstrated ability to bring the proper resources to solve priority technical issues in a timely manner
- Knowledge of computer interface protocols
- Strong oral and written communication/presentations skills
- Build collaborative relationships both internally and externally
- BS or MS in electrical, electronic, or related technical discipline
- 5 or more years of experience in leading test engineering teams in electronics manufacturing environments
- 5 or more years of expertise in designing and fabricating custom test systems
- U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks, Altium and/or other industry CAD tools
- Previous radar testing methods and technologies
- Manufacturing Six Sigma Green Belt
