Job Summary
Conduct research, evaluation, design, and quality control processes for the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program. Support the build and assembly of tactical electronic/electrical assemblies and special test equipment while troubleshooting electrical subsystems of complex defense systems. Work with a diverse team on requirements capture, design, procurement, build, configuration, and validation of assemblies integrated into a hardware-in-the-loop system, including all reviews, documentation release, testing, and troubleshooting. Provide rapid integration and troubleshooting support for system-level integration and assume responsibility for testing various electronic/electrical hardware. Participate in integration activities at industry partner locations with an estimated 10% travel requirement.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in manufacturing, aerospace, electrical or computer engineering from an ABET accredited school
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience
- In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an additional 4+ years of relevant experience with a High School diploma or GED
- Capability of reading engineering drawings
- Capability of following work instructions to produce complex assemblies
- Capability of providing valuable feedback to engineering
- Familiarity with working with electrical schematics
- Familiarity with working with cable/wiring diagrams
- Ability to work independently, or as part of a team, in a dedicated workforce
- Ability to provide rapid integration and troubleshooting support HWIL system-level integration
- Ability to assume responsibility for testing a variety of electronic/electrical hardware, including electrical and mechanical assemblies
- Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment, which will include design, test, and manufacturing engineers
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Current J-STD certification
- Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
- Willingness to participate in integration activities held at industry partner locations
- Travel estimated to be 10%
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and hold a SECRET clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the manufacturing and testing of large electronic/electrical components for military and aerospace applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems operation and configuration
- Advanced experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing documentation
- Skills associated with electrical and mechanical assembly tasks, including proficiency in using corporate production control processes
- Ability to create documents and spreadsheets for manufacturing information, such as work instructions, parts lists, inventory reports, etc.
