Job Summary
Lead R&T projects and trials for next-generation aircraft components, including Wing of Tomorrow, HTP multispar, fuselage parts, and hydrogen tanks. Manage and maintain Airbus Process Instructions (AIPIs) as the focal point for global application while overseeing Manufacturing Technology Teams for repairability, prepreg, and auxiliary materials. Drive the industrialization of A350 cargo doors and co-design composite manufacturing systems aligned with program goals for rate and cost efficiency. Analyze manufacturing results through destructive and nondestructive inspections, utilizing project management tools like PFMEA and PDCA to ensure success. This role supports continuous manufacturing activities in Illescas and provides global expertise on processes, requiring strong composite material knowledge and hands-on fieldwork capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of composite materials for aeronautical components
- Experience in composite manufacturing processes
- Experience in co-design for manufacturing with engineering and materials teams
- Ability to define, set up, and industrialize systems for composite component manufacturing
- Background in project management with skills in planning, control, and risk management
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in industrial environments
- Expertise in prepreg materials and understanding of their behavior compared to dry fiber and thermoplastics
- Ability to conduct trials, analyze results, and generate detailed reports
- Knowledge of environmental solutions in manufacturing
