Job Summary
Conduct manufacturing operations including set-up, calibration, rework, and quality testing for parts, components, and final assemblies. Perform on-line adjustments using sophisticated data programs and determine methods to control or modify the manufacturing process. Collaborate with engineers for experiments and assist in training others on production skills. Adhere to safety requirements, maintain a clean work area, and assist in preventative maintenance of standard equipment. Lift up to 100lbs frequently and handle physical exertion involving standing, walking, and repetitive motion while wearing PPE. Work in an environment with exposure to chemicals, electrical current, and moving mechanical parts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree
- 2 – 3 years of related experience
- Strong teaming skills
- Basic understanding of material logistics
- Basic understanding of several business systems/concepts such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement
- Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift/move up to 100lbs
- Must be able to lift more than 75lbs to greater than 95lbs
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move heavy equipment and/or supplies frequently
- Ability to reach above the shoulder frequently
- Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools occasionally
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities
- Ability to work in environments including exposure to chemicals, electrical current, proximity to moving mechanical parts, repetitive hand motion, open flame, working from heights, cold environment, hot environment, uneven surface, fumes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software
