Job Summary
Perform basic electrical repairs, wiring checks, and component replacement on critical equipment while assisting with mechanical assembly maintenance for bearings, belts, and gears. Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoot electronics and hydraulics, and use hand and power tools safely to minimize downtime. Document all work performed in maintenance logs and support equipment installations under senior staff guidance. Adhere strictly to safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements. This contract role in Sugar Land, TX requires 2+ years of electro-mechanical experience and an Associate's Degree in Electronics.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance, electrical, or electro-mechanical experience
- Associate's Degree in Electronics
- Demonstrated basic electrical repair skills, including working with low-voltage circuits and components
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on mechanical assemblies
- Exposure to equipment involving electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical documentation, such as equipment manuals and simple schematics
- Proficient English language skills, both spoken and written, for effective communication and documentation
- Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and adhere to maintenance and safety standards
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, lifting, and working with tools for extended periods
- Additional technical or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields
- Relevant safety training or certifications (e.g., lockout/tagout, electrical safety)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance environment
- Familiarity with basic hydraulic systems troubleshooting and component replacement
- Exposure to PLC-controlled or electronically controlled equipment
- Basic computer skills for using maintenance management or reporting systems
