Job Summary
Lead CNC or Caddy programming improvements, conduct advanced tooling trials, and provide troubleshooting support on all equipment as assigned. Generate solutions for machining quality issues, recommend improvements for tool life and cycle times, and perform mechanical re-alignments of CNC or Caddy equipment independently. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with maintenance personnel to ensure customer delivery. Assist in creating manufacturing documentation, support process and tooling improvements, and help relocate and install large machinery. Perform basic preventative maintenance and handle various assignments with changing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of direct CNC machining setup experience
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent print reading skills: GD&T, 3D modeling, and CAD proficiency
- Computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools, machine tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, schematics, maintenance work orders, or manufacturers' manuals
- Ability to perform mechanical re-alignments of CNC or Caddy equipment and work independently
- Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance on industrial machinery
- Ability to help relocate and install large machinery
- Ability to communicate effectively with Maintenance, Engineering, Supervisors, and outside vendors regarding projects and equipment repair problems
- Ability to generate solutions for machining quality issues reported by machine operators
- Ability to recommend improvements for tool life and cycle times in existing CNC or Caddy programs
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with maintenance personnel
