Job Summary
Manufacturing Technician responsible for operating and setting up machining equipment to process sapphire components with tight tolerances, including surface, cylindrical, and centerless grinding; perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools, document data, and transport parts to designated locations. Requires interpreting travelers, work orders, blueprints, and process instructions; follow speeds, feeds, and operation sequences; perform tile saw cutting and belt-sander work; maintain data records; primarily run lapping machines for polishing; and escalate any quality concerns to area leads. Must have at least 1 year of machining experience, a high school diploma or GED, and be prepared for second shift. Includes safety-focused responsibilities, collaboration with the management team, and a benefits package with annual bonus and other healthcare and retirement options.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of hands-on machining experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in shop mathematics (rates, ratios, percentages)
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, Safety Data Sheets, and Work Instructions
- Experience using micrometers and calipers is a plus
- This position is scheduled for second shift
- Experience with measuring equipment and quality inspections is required
