Job Summary
Manufacturing Technician – Level 1 at Northrop Grumman supports the Aeronautics Systems sector at the Clearfield, UT site. Responsibilities include translating blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies (precision drilling, countersinking, use of calibrated tools), aligning parts on jigs, performing part-fitting operations (filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, riveting, drilling, reaming), measuring parts with micrometers and calipers, modifying assemblies for changes, and applying manufacturing shop controls. Emphasis on quality, continuous improvement, and adherence to PPE and safety practices; shift times may include weekdays, nights, and weekends with shift differential. Requires High School Diploma/GED, 9+ months of applicable experience, ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance, and U.S. Citizenship for clearance. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- minimum of 9 months experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
- ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access
- U.S. Citizenship required for clearance
- ability to work various shifts (including weekdays, nights, weekends) and lift up to 35 pounds
- ability to read and understand blueprints
- use of micrometers and calipers
- PPE usage on shop floor
