Manufacturing Technician IV

Manufacturing Technician IV in AbbVie's Biologics production facility on the Compounding B1 Shift (6am-6:30pm Thursday-Saturday & every other Wednesday). Performs cGMP manufacturing tasks, including working with engineers in setup and calibration, rework, and quality testing related to production of parts, components and final materials. Uses programs like LIMS and SAP to collect/evaluate data for on-line adjustments; develops methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include shipping finished materials, maintaining inventory, sampling in-process and raw materials, operating glass washer/autoclave, buffer/media preparation, equipment prep (CIP/SIP), cell culture (from vial thaw to production scale), column chromatography, and tangential flow filtration. Demonstrates judgment and initiative, often acts as facilitator and team leader, and works with cross-functional teams. Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years in the area, with capability to supervise or lead in assignments and contribute to process improvements.
